Our screened in porch in back of the house was literally falling apart from wood rot and inferior construction.
Friendly, efficient, and easy to get on the schedule with them! Work was done quickly and well. Work area was left clean afterwards.
House doctors did an excellent job with our home repairs. Employees were respectful and professional. I was very happy with their service!
I had originally requested to have a electrical fixture and lighted ceiling fan to be installed in an upstairs bedroom without overhead lighting. The bedroom is finished and has several outlets to tie into and has bi-control switches already present. I had originally planned to hire an electrician for the job but opted instead to use House Doctors for the convience of having them also switch out two additional pre-existing ceiling fans in two other bedrooms with new ones that I had already purchased. The handyman arrived and surveyed the job and informed me that he had never done fished wire through the wall and tie into an existing outlet. He said usually, the company will send a more experienced worker for jobs like this., so I took this item off of the list and just had him switch out the two ceiling fans instead. Two and a half hours at a cost of $300 later, I'm fairly upset. I have an injury that prevented me from doing the work myself as I installed all of the ceiling fans myself several years ago so I know or have a good estimate of the time involved and needed to do the job. I could have opted to have a Lowe's contractor do the installs for half that cost or went with my original option of hiring an electrician to do the entire job. So my problem is that I don't feel that House Doctors sent a competent worker to do the job and I don't feel that the job that was completed was a good value at all. I feel as if the job was milked for time and that insults my time and value. Additionally, both of the lighting fixtures on the fans wobble excessively and are crooked. I did call House Doctors and voice my concerns but I'm sure as most things this will go unaddressed.
We were very pleased with the work that Ray did for us today. He re-hung two sliding closet doors, reoriented an electric outlet, fixed a door that kept sticking, nailed several porch ceiling wood strips back in place, and secured two loose downspouts with screws. He was on time and worked quickly and professionally to complete this work. We will definitely have House Doctors Handyman of Mason do more work for us in the future.
My wife is happy - all that matters, right?
House Doctors of Mason did an incredible job.
Brian Dailey of House Doctors came out to do the estimate - and the rest was handled by his professional crew. They rebuilt the porch room from superior materials and custom-sized each window to fit the screen/glass convertible repacements.
